Skin Substitute Coverage (2026 Update) Coverage for Mobile Wound Care

Skin substitutes (cellular and tissue-based products, or CTPs) are FDA-cleared bioengineered or human-derived sheets, Apligraf, Oasis, GraftJacket, AmnioBand, EpiFix, and dozens of others, that are applied directly to chronic wounds to deliver growth factors, collagen, and an extracellular matrix scaffold. Under Medicare LCD L35041, these products are covered when a wound has failed at least 30 days of standard conservative care, the patient has adequate vascular supply, and underlying conditions are reasonably controlled. Healix360 supports the prior authorization, documentation, and Q-code billing workflow so the patient does not navigate it alone.

Call 877-545-1300 or request a provider to begin care. Healix360 serves listed California communities. Medicare Part B, Medicare Advantage and Medi-Cal benefits are verified before treatment.
